Three new Wine Festivals have been announced for 2017 following the success of the Guildford Wine Experience which took place in February 2016 at Guildford Cathedral. The festivals will take place at Farnham Maltings on 7th and 8th April, at Guildford Cathedral on 12th and 13th May and at Dorking Halls on 22nd and 23rd September. They will follow a similar format, with a session on the Friday evening from 7pm-11pm, an afternoon session of the Saturday from 12pm- 4pm and a final session on the Saturday evening from 7pm-11pm.

Each festival will feature over 100 international wines including champagnes and premium wines, alongside wine experts and producers. Local wines and producers will also feature with their own special section to celebrate the strength and diversity of wine production in Surrey and West Sussex.

In addition, there will also be music, entertainment, concessions, food, money off wine vouchers and more.

Each festival will also host a blind wine tasting and raffle which will support two local charities in those areas.

Entry to each festival will be just £10 per session if booked in advance, with wine tokens also available at a reduced price when booked together. Corporate and group rates will also be available for parties and larger bookings.

Steve Page, one of the organisers, said: “The Wine Experience we held earlier this year in Guildford was a great success, both amongst the paying public and the experts and producers who attended. In addition, it raised more than £1,500 for Shooting Star Chase, our charity for the event. I am delighted that we will be running three festivals this year, offering residents in Dorking, Farnham,

Guildford and beyond will have the chance to try some lovely wines, see some of our great local producers and, as an added bonus, raise money for local charities”.
