Local wines and producers will also feature with their own special section to celebrate the strength and diversity of wine production in this area. These will include Albury Vineyard (nr Guildford), Blackdown Ridge (Haslemere), and Greyfriars (Puttenham). In addition, there will be a local gin bar and local beer and cider will be available for non-wine drinkers.
At the event, a tasting measure of wine costs a minimum of one token, with some of the more expensive wines costing up to three tokens. Extra tokens will be available to purchase on the day. Entry to each festival is just £10 per session if booked in advance, with wine tokens also available at a reduced price when booked together. Group rates will also be available for parties and larger bookings.
The Dorking Wine Festival will be working with two local charities at the event in September. The two charities will be PSDS and Brigitte Trust, and they will run a blind wine tasting and a raffle, with the proceeds going directly to the charities. In addition, VantagePoint Events will donate money from every ticket sold.
Tickets are available to buy online at www.vantagepointevents.co.uk or via Dorking Halls.
